Arlington Court

The National Trust managed Arlington Court lies just outside the Exmoor National Park and is a great place to take the dog with many different walks around the grounds. There is also a carriage museum where you can see one of the largest collections of carriages in the country, a small shop and a very good cafe. 

Exmoor Zoo

Home to the Exmoor beast is Exmoor Zoo where you can get up close and personal to a wide array of animals, many of which are endangered in the wild. The zoo offers a number of animal experiences that can be booked in advance, as well as daily talks and the ability to adopt one of the animals living at the zoo.

Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park

On the outskirts of Combe Martin is North Devon’s very own wildlife and dinosaur park. Set in more than 28 acres this family attraction is home to an array of animals as well as several animatronic dinosaurs. There is also a large indoor soft play area and daily talks to enjoy.

The Big Sheep

Just beyond Bideford off the Atlantic Highway is The Big Sheep one of North Devon’s award winning, all weather attractions. Here you can spend time in the indoor playground, take a ride on the rollercoaster or just have fun looking at the animals. Highlights here include live animal feeding, the onsite brewery and its world famous sheep racing.

The Milky Way

Voted North Devon’s number one family attraction for several years is The Milky Way, a large adventure park with various rides and play areas to keep all the little ones entertained. Onsite you will find a soft play area, an indoor adventure play area with slides, rollercoasters and so much more. 

RHS Rosemoor

In the heart of the North Devon countryside is RHS Rosemoor. At Rosemoor there is a magical garden filled with colourful and fragrant flowers to explore. The garden, which is split into formal and informal areas has plenty of places to enjoy a picnic, as well as an onsite cafe and shop. Seasonal activities are held at the garden and are great for families. 

Dartington Crystal

Dartington Crystal is one of the last glass making factories in the UK. At the attached visitor center you take part in a number of activities such as hand casting, glass painting and jewelry making, or alternatively you can do a factory tour where you get to see the skilled glass makers at work. Finish your day at the onsite shop selling Dartington Crystal products made onsite.

Quince Honey Farm

In South Molton at Quince Honey Farm you can learn all about the making of honey. Watch the bees in their hives before moving on to see how the honey is extracted. You can even go on a tractor ride to see where the majority of the farm’s bee hives are located. Also onsite is a large indoor play area, a cafe and a shop selling honey based products.
